A Community Partnership to End Youth Homelessness in Lincoln County
|
Since opening our doors in 2019, THE KEY Youth Center in Troy, Missouri, remains 100% community funded. Every dollar directly supports our mission and residents—unlocking our young people’s potential by meeting their individual needs, which includes much more than shelter.
With a gift of $20 a month, you ensure that the 15-year-old Lincoln County girl who left home to escape abuse is safe, attending school and accessing needed therapies. Your gift of $20 a month supports the 18-year-old Lincoln County boy who was abandoned by his parents, allowing him to stay in the school he knows, graduate and receive the support and care he needs to establish himself beyond The Key’s walls. Your monthly gift keeps our mission alive, our young people safe and educated, and the community healthier and brighter for all who call Lincoln County home.

By adopting one month of our operating costs, you’ll be recognized in Key communications, including social media and our Donor Page, which we are currently constructing. This gift provides for a loving home and a young person’s basic needs—from running water, healthy food, heat in the winter, a bed, etc., which many of our residents have lived without. | By adopting a resident, your gift supports a resident in his or her progression with the Key launch plan, which lists what the resident needs—from identification, insurance, employment to health care and more—to successfully transition beyond The Key’s walls and integrate into our community as productive citizens. Donors will be recognized in Key communications, including social media and our Donor Page, which we are currently constructing. | Through your gift, The Key advances our mission to end youth homelessness in Lincoln County and the ripple effects—higher high school drop-out, unemployment, substance use disorder rates and more—that this issue presents to our county. Donors will be recognized in Key communications, including social media and our Donor Page, which we are currently constructing. |
